June: Jazzy and St. Geezy

June

The beginning of June, Mika and I participated in our first flash mob! We learned the dance the night before and rehearsed it over and over in my living room. Then we made our way over to Taylorsville town days where it broke out. It was such a blast, we had so much fun!

On the 16th of June, my family went through one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. Jazzmin was my chocolate lab growing up, and we had 15 amazing years with her. She was so healthy and happy and we have incredible memories with her! Her last few months we found out she had diabetes, and were going to have to put her on insulin, special dog food, and that meant many vet visits. We tried it for a few months, but her levels were all over the place. She had some really scary episodes, and her cute personality was just dying. She wasn't the same dog, and I didn't want my last memories of her to be that way. We made the decision as a family to have her put to sleep. I seriously don't think I've ever cried that much! I am such an animal lover and get attached to bugs that live on my porch! How was I going to do this?! Luckily, I have Harley, and an amazing husband to help me. We had our last few nights together as a family, where we spoiled Jazzy with treats and burgers. (We wanted her to go happy!) She knew what was going to happen, and she was okay with it. She had become mostly deaf and blind, hers legs would give out, and she lost control of her bladder. It was so sad letting her go, but I couldn't be selfish and make her suffer. She is in a better place, and though I think about you every day Jazzy, I know you're happy, and I love and miss you so much!! xo
We took a few pics on our last night together, though we all look terrible.

The following weekend we had our girls trip planned to St. George to go see the Tuachan shows. At first I didn't want to go, because of all we had been through, but Tay convinced me it would get my mind off things, and I'm glad I went because we had a great time. We saw Little Mermaid and Grease. Of all the shows I've seen down there through all the years, I think Little Mermaid was my absolute favorite! Hopefully next month I can go again and take Tay this time. We also shopped and layed out and did everything that girls do! :)

May: Racin' and Cruisin'

May

In May, Harley attended her first birthday party, (not counting her own) her best friend Zoey turned one!

Every May is the breast cancer walk for the cure. This was our second year doing it with Mika, in honor of Monica. It was different this year without her, but we had special shirts made like always, and this year's said, "For 19 years we walked with you. This year, we walk for you." It was such a special day and we could all feel her spirit there with us!

And the most aniticipated week of all: The cruise! We went on a 7 day Western Caribbean with 3 other couples and had an absolute blast! I have over 2,000 pictures of that week, so here's just a smiggin of what our week was like:

April: 50 years and Easter time!

April

Tay's cute grandparents celebrated their 50th anniversary this month! They are so adorable, and I love them to death! Can't wait for me and Tay to be that cute and old and feed birds and garden.
We had a big dinner for them at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and a little program planned.

For Easter this year we dyed eggs with our best friends, Jason and Mika. Somehow Mika and I were dared to fit all 6 feet of bubble tape in our mouths, so that was an epic night.

Look what the Easter Bunny brought!

March Madness

I'm back!
I think it's been long enough that I finally have enough to talk about.
(Total sarcasm)
I can't believe summer came and went SO fast! I feel like I was gone so much, but we had so many fun times, and I wouldn't go back to change a thing!
I've been so awful, I get in a funk where there's too much to blog about, and I feel like I'm always playing catch up, so I just put it off and put it off. Which makes me sad because I love looking back at all last year and being able to re-live some of those moments. I really need to try to stay on top of it. What the heck is it gonna be like when we have kids?! If my friends with little ones can do it, then by golly I can too.
So here is a some-what brief catch up, of the past 6 months.

March
We traded in Tay's truck for a Mazda 6. It was a bittersweet day, and there are times we really miss having a truck, but we love his car.

Dani had her drill showcase where they performed all the dances from the year. She did awesome, and I'm so proud of her for becoming the dancer she is. She also went to her first prom! Ahh! I went dress shopping with her and my mom, and got to help with getting ready. Crazy how fast time flies! I seriously feel like I was just there. Love my little sis!

My cute friend Janessa graduated from Elase Academy so of course we celebrated lots with friends. Also 4 of my friends all got their boobs done this month! Four! So naturally there was lots of movies and treats this month. :)

This girls night in particular was the night we discovered Hi Chews. My husband has then since consumed dozens and dozens of bags!

Last but not least, Harley had her first mani / pedi session. This is what happens when daddy works late, and mommy gets bored. :)
