Town Days

Summer is officially here! And we are loving every second of it! Life with a pool, can I just say, is WONDERFUL! I'm not gonna wanna ever leave this place! We've been spending lots of time laying out, working on our tans. (They're slowly coming)
To celebrate summer finally coming, Kaylee and I were feeling crafty and painted some cute decorations for my house.
Here's one of the finished products:

This past week was Bluffdale's town days, so spent lots of time in good ole farmville. We got to go with Kaylee to the demolition derby and watch mud fly! It was a lot of fun! Those guys have got to have a lot of rage!!

Next I went to the parade with my mom and grandparents who were up from St. George. Bluffdale parades are funny because just about half the city is IN the parade. I don't know of a single year that someone in my family hasn't been involved. The girls were in it for their dance group, and my dad had something to do with the scouts. (See how well I pay attention?)

Harely wasn't too sure what to think of her first parade. She got scared whenever candy came flying at her but she liked any music or dancing. Her favorite part was this:

(I think she was jealous of the dog's cute hat!)

That afternoon we went and watched the girls dance at the park. I never take pictures of their dances so I was pretty proud of myself for getting out the camera. They always do a good job! So proud of my sissers.

Harley chewed on some grass. She's not super into dancing apparently. Haha.

The day ended good. We met up with Brad and Brooke and got some yummy food at one of our favorite places!

We were then gonna go see a movie, but we drove past South Jordan's carnival. Brooke and I couldn't pass it up, so we made the boys pull over and we ran all the way to the ticket line. My favorite ride is the Gravitron. (Sounds like a Transformers name...) It spins really fast and you lean up against the side and sort of float to the top. It's the coolest feeling!

Right as we were walking to the car, the fireworks started. So we sat in the bed of the truck and watched. I LOVE fireworks!! Could watch them all night.

These are just some of the reasons I LOVE SUMMER! Can't wait for more to come!

Random Pictures

Life has been pretty crazy latey, now with summer started. Mainly at work, which is where I blog, so I'm a little behind. Last weekend the drain on our roof clogged and the place flooded. Particularly right in front of my desk. Whoopee! Luckily nothing was really ruined, just shorted some wires so the phone, fax, internet, credit card machine, you name it, went out! It's been a nightmare getting everything set up and running again. Carpet cleaners come tomorrow, thank GOODNESS! I feel like I'm sitting in a moldy, mildew, rainforest. It's warm and very humid. My hair is actually going wavy! Haha.
So anyway, I'm done complaining. But that's been my crazy week. And it's only Tuesday! Lol. Oh dear.

I'm very nervous for Thursday, Harley is getting spayed. :o( I already feel bad for her, I hope she doesn't hate us. So that will be interesting, I'll let you know how that goes.

We've been hanging out with our friends quite a bit the last little while. I think I have some pictures I will post and update about that.

Anyway, here are some pictures I found of my baby girl that are kind of random, but I think they're cute.

She's daddy's baby girl

I love this one, mainly because of their hats. Grandma made them wear hats because it was so hot outside.

Summertime

This summer is going to be a blast!! We have so much to look forward to!

JUNE

Taylor leaves the end of June to go to Seattle for a work meeting. He's excited to go hang out with work buddies and also get away from work. Well, at least the phone calls.

We also have lots of BBQ's planned this month. Nothin like a juicy burger hot off the grill. Tay makes the most amazing burgers ever!!

JULY

Both of our birthdays are in July, which makes it double good! Taylor's is the first and mine's the eleventh.

Right in between, you got the fourth! Our friends invited us up to go camping up at Moon Lake that weekend. Nothing I love more: Fireworks and smores!! I'm super excited for that trip. Also it'll be Harley's first camping trip. I can't wait for her to swim in the lake and go on hikes with us. Gonna be a blast!

AUGUST

Last year we started a great tradition with our best friends. LAKE POWELL! This year, our other friends are coming too so it will be even better! Lots of wakeboarding, tubing, cliff jumping, laying out, awwww!! I can't wait! Seriously one of my favorite places on earth!

OCTOBER

Last but not least, to end our fantastic summer, we're going on a cruise!

It's our friend's anniversary and they wanted to do a trip. Any excuse to vacation, right? It's a seven day that goes to Cozumel, Hondorus, Belize, and Grand Cayman. So far the only thing we know we want to do is Stingray City in Cayman. We did it last year and it was amazing!! All these wild sting rays gather at this sandbar right in the middle of the ocean.

Also wanna be doing lots of this:

Getting one of these:

And drinking lots of these!

I have so much to greatful for in my life and without my wonderful hubby and friends, none of this would be happening to me. Here's to an amazing summer!!

Memorial Weekend

This weekend was so fun. We were going to go camping, but figure it'd be really crowded. It was really relaxing, just hanging out.
Friday night we went to one of my favorite restaurants with some of my favorite people!

Yummy food! After we met up with some of our friends and went and got sno-cones, (Tay's OBSESSED with them, he eats waaay more than he should!) and watched a movie. (I honestly can't even remember which one, I fell asleep that fast!)

Saturday was cleaning day. I ran some errands and kinda managed to get some laundry done. Had to stop quite often because Harley has a new obsession with dryer sheets. With every load coming out of the dryer she was so excited the chew on the dryer sheet and shred it into a million pieces all over the house.
Silly girl!
She came with me to run some errands and looked so funny in the car. I had to take a picture. Usually she insists on riding right on my lap and putting her paws up the steering wheel like she's driving, and looking out the window. (REAL safe, I know!) But Saturday she was really tired and just settled for shotgun.

Sunday we went to Jordon Fiack's farewell. It was really good, he did a great job. Afterwards we hung out at their house and then went to dinner at my parents house. My little sisters wanted to sleep over so we turned on a movie and as always, all were passed out in about 20 minutes. (Sleepovers at our house are WILD!)

Monday morning Tay took us all to breakfast at Village Inn. (PS - Going out for breakfast while on Weight Watchers is not very fun. Wheat toast, DRY, 2 egg whites, and little cup of fruit doesn't exactly hit the spot. Haha. Oh well.)
After breakfast we met up with Mika and Janesssa and laid out at the pool. It was really warm but cloudy. Hopefully next time it'll be a little better. But it was fun just relaxing and talking.

That night we BBQ-ed at grandma's house. Good food, and again, NOT easy on Weight Watchers! Haha.
It was such a fun weekend. Too short!! Definately ready for the next holiday!! And camping!!

OH! And PS, Harley lost her first tooth on Sunday! :o)

My little girl's growing up... lol
