CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas this year was amazing. We were so spoiled and so was Harley! One of my favorite parts of the whole season is the decorating. I love the music and the lights, and the hot cocoa. But putting up the tree and decorating the house just makes it more exciting. Here's a couple pictures of the house.

Christmas Eve we go to my grandma Peterson's every year. We have a ham dinner and exchange presents with the cousins. Then we slept over at my parents house with Harley. We slept downstairs with my little sisters and watched christmas movies all night. I can never sleep because I'm so excited. I wonder if that will ever change.....
We woke up and Santa had come! Here's a few pics of the morning.

Harley LOVES her piggy. She takes it everywhere she goes and loves to cuddle with it.

Her bone is so big and heavy she can't walk straight with it. He head bobbles and she falls over. So funny!

After breakfast we went over to Tay's parents and did presents with them. His mom made a huge lunch with ham and potatoes. It was so fun!

Then for dinner, back to my family for the Turner party. We did Cafe Rio style burritos and salads and watched football and exchanged cousin gifts. Such a great day!

Thanksgiving, First Snow, and Kinect

Holy moly, I've been horrible at blogging! Life has been so awesome and crazy busy! I'll try to briefly catch ya up on it all.
Thanksgiving was wonderful. We ate dinner with Tay's family and then went over to mine for dessert. It's so nice that our families live so close and we are able to see both for holidays. (That, and Tay likes eating two dinners!) I'm also thankful for my amazing husband and puppy. I love our little family, and they are my rock. I have great job with great people, and I am so blessed. My family, in-laws included are seriously the best I could ask for. I am so surrounded by incredible friends too! I have SO much to be grateful for and I thank God everyday for all he has given me. I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Seriously.
(Sorry for the lack of pics...so not like me. Too much fun playing and eating.)

After Thanksgiving, (or maybe it was before, I can't remember at the moment) we had our first snowfall. And we sure got dumped on. It was Harley's first time seeing snow. We got her last April, so she saw a glimpse of it, but of course she was a baby, and also it was just a teensy bit. She LOVED playing in it. Everytime we take out to potty, it takes so long because she loves to just play. I did get a couple pics of her and daddy out there prancing around in it.

One more thing that's been occupying our time has been the Xbox Kinect. Tay won a gift card at work so we decided it'd be fun to have. It's similar to the Wii, but there's no controller. Your body is the controller and there is a camera that records how you move. It's really fun and super addicting! We got a dance game and a sports one. They are so fun and it's crazy how competitive we all get while playing it. The first night we had it, my litle sisters came over and we played until we could barely breathe.

Harley was hysterical. She wanted to watch, but she'd sit right in front of the camera, so it'd pick up her and not you.

Edward Scissorhands beat me up...

So I did it again. I chopped off my hair. Last week, it was just bugging me and kind of at an inbetween length. I know Tay loves short hair, and I had been looking online at pictures. I found this one, and thought it was pretty cute.

Tay said he loved it, and I re-assured him that if I went into the salon, I would NOT come out looking like that. He laughed and so I just went in the next day. I didn't really tell anyone I was doing it.

Here's a horrible before shot. Just took it out of a ponytail, so it's super messy, but I needed to show the final length.

Anyway, at first I cried. And hated it. Like always. But it grew back last time, so I am feeling slightly more confident this time.
I still don't love it, but it's at least okay now. I don't cry when I wash it, and have gotten lots of compliments so I guess it's alright. I think in another couple inches I'll be loving it.

Halloween Part 2

Since Halloween was on a Sunday this year, we all dressed up Friday at work. It was so fun and the Dr's were such good sports about it. Angie and I totally didn't plan our outfits matching.

Friday night we went to Tay's parents to carve pumpkins. This one was much more successful. I actually had the time to sit down and really try. Haha. But everybody's looked so awesome! I think we've found our calling.
