Harley's Birthday Party

I know you're going to think this is a joke. But don't judge me! :)
Yes I threw a party for Harley. It's not going to be an every year thing. But turning one is a big deal. And I have nothing going on in my life right now. Haha.

It turned out really fun. We have the best friends ever, and I love all of their pups! Here's how a night with 14 people and 5 dogs all under one roof goes:

All the mamma's and babies:

The boys hangin out, planning our cruise!

Funfetti cupcakes!

The doggie cake

Rosco

Dodge

Sunni

Zoey

 Harley

Unlce Jason tried some doggie cake too!

Cute little Jada put on Erin's heels and walked all over. Such a girly girl! I love her!

We had a little romance throughout the night. Dodge had a crush on Rosco, (yeah, he's bisexual) and Rosco had a crush on Zoey. So adorable.

Thanks friends for all the fun presents! She loves them!!

Hopefully everyone had as much fun as we did. Love all our friends!
Happy Birthday Harley girl!

No longer a puppy...

Today my baby girl turned 1. Ahh! I can't even believe it. She is seriously the best thing that happened to Tay and I. We have so many fun memories, she really is our child. Never met a more spoiled puppy. :)

A couple fun little facts about her from her first year of life:
-She's a total daddy's girl (even though mommy sneaks her french fries...)
-She loves to snuggle on our days off. Lazy days are so fun with her!
-Her favorite treats: ice cubes, baby carrots, and of course, doggie bones
-Any stuffed animal in sight doesn't stand a chance. Stuffing. Everywhere.
-She loves people watching. Off our balcony, or Harmon's parking lot. Doesn't matter.
-She's too smart for her own good. Has the basic (sit, lay, shake, speak) mastered. Now she can dispense her own ice cubes from the fridge. (Just don't leave it set on Water)
-LOVES going to grandma's house and on any car rides

We love our Harley girl so much, she has such a personality! Our house is so much more alive with her around, and we can't wait for the many more years to come!
Love you sweetie!!

Cali-Anniversary-fornia Trip

For our anniversary we decided to take a little trip to San Diego. My aunt LeeAnne gave us some buddy passes and she also could get us into Sea World for free, so that right there was enough to make our decision. It was such a blast, and SO good to get away just the two of us. It seems like between friends and both families, we are always doing things with everyone. So it was so nice to get away and just spend some time alone together. Here's some of the fun things we did while there:

On our way to the hotel. Look! No snow! :)

Our hotel pool was such a joke. It literally was like, 10 feet by 10 feet. It was too cold to swim, but we had to get a picture of this pathetic excuse of a pool.

Yes, you are reading correctly. It has a 12 person capacity. Most families from Utah wouldn't fit in this pool!

The first day we flew in, we got the rental car, checked into the hotel, and headed out to Old Town. We walked around the cute little shops and ate at the most amazing Mexican place ever!

Saturday was Sea World! LeeAnne flew in that morning to come with us. It was awesome. Could've been a little warmer, but I couldn't complain. Way better than 20 degrees at home!
These flamingos were picking at (bugs?) stuff in our hair! It felt so funny, kind of like a head massage. :)

Touching the sting rays!

Yummy hot cocoa at the Shamu show!

*A funny side note story of me trying to be smart
Shamu's dorsal fin was curved (like Free Willey's!) and I thought it meant the whale was in heat. So I told Tay and LeeAnne and they didn't believe me. He was back in the holding tank before the show, and I went off on how he was probably back there for breeding. Well, we asked the employee and she's like.....nooooo......it just does that.......
Lol. Made me feel real dumb. Then I thought that Shamu was the original Shamu. Tay laughed at me and after we googled it, we found out the first Shamu died in 1971 and there have been 51 Shamu's since.
Whoopsie. Guess I need to read up on my whale trivia. :)

That night we went to Little Italy and had the best pizza ever! Seriously, we ate really good this trip. No wonder I gained weight!

*One more story (for my memory's sake)
Late that night we went to a CVS pharmacy to get some treats and drinks for the fridge at the hotel. There were two homeless guys sitting outside the pharmacy. We were walking in, holding hands, and the one guy says, "Daaaaaamn! You lucky mother f-----r! You's walkin' next to a hot-a$$ girlfriend....and I'm sitting next to a BUM!"
It was super awkward but really funny. We giggled the whole time in the store and I'm pretty sure my face was bright red. Creepy!

Sunday we went to La Jolla Cove and saw the seals on the rocks. I'd never seen the seals in wild, so it was so cool. They were so funny, we seriously could've watched them for hours.

Later we found the BEST mall ever. Seriously, every store was so amazing! They had all the high-end designers like Louis Vuitton, Sak's 5th Ave, Barneys, Juicy Couture, True Religion, etc. I was like a kid in a candy store. (They had an awesome candy store too!) I told Tay I could easily drop thousands at that mall.

Monday was San Diego Zoo! I had never been and it was so huge! I loved it! I think I took a picture of every animal we saw. But I'll spare you with some of my favorites.
The koala bears were sooooo cute!

Goofin' off, trying to be funny.....

Polar bears! There was a family there with camera crews and zoo staff following them around. We found out they were getting their house re-done on the show Extreme Home Makeover. While the house is being done, they send them on vacation somewhere and they came to San Diego! It was really neat, and Tay creeped around trying to get in every shot. Lol. So watch out, we might be on TV!

Two turtles being naughty....

My two faves. Pandas and Giraffes!

Our last night we watched the sun set at Mission Beach. It was so pretty! Then we went back to the mall from the gods and got our anniversary presents for each other. Tay got a watch and I got a Guess purse. (YES, it's real. My first REAL bag.)

Our trip was quick but much needed! It was so nice to get out of the freezing and have a little 'us' time. I love San Diego. Can't wait to go back! :o)

3 down.... millions to go

January 5th was our THREE year anniversary! Ahhh, I can't believe we've been married that long. Everybody that finds that out asks two things.
1. "Whoah. You're young. What were you, seventeen when you got married?"
And 2. "When are you popping out babies???!?!?!"

Answer to the first. I was twenty thank you very much. I'm still trying to look older, but one day I will enjoy looking like I'm still in high school.
Second. When we got married, we said about 5 years. Now that it's been three, we're saying 5 more. Lol.
Not really, but we definately aren't ready anytime soon. I'm thinking it'll be another 4 or so. We're having too much fun playing and traveling, and Harley is enough for now.

The last three years have been so amazing! We've done so much and been so many places. We've had our good times and our bad, and are STILL finding out crazy things about each other. I feel like we've grown so much and I love always having a best friend to hang out with. I love how comfortable we are with each other and all the laughs we have!

Tay is so good to me and spoils me rotten. He puts up with so much and I love him to death for it. Thanks babe for ALL you do, you're the best husband ever!!

Here's to the rest of eternity with each other!! xo

Happy 2011

It's a new year! Holy moly, 2010 came and went so fast!!
We rang in the new year with all of our bestie friends. It was such a blast - as always. We had dinner with my family at our fave, Teppanyaki. Then we met up at Fiack's house and played Wii, ate, made up zumba dances, ate some more, and got competitive with a little Catch Phrase. Oh I love our friends.

So a couple of quick little "resolutions" that I'm making for myself this year. Hopefully they last longer our leftovers from dinner. Lol.

1. Be better about going to the temple
2. Get down to weight goal (just about there) and STAY!
3. Learn some new dinners to cook and eat in more often
4. Blog more :)
5. Return at least one redbox on time (This sounds ridiculous. Really. But it's never happened in my life.)
6. Grow my hair loooooong
7. Get the guest bathroom painted and decorated
8. Go somewhere I've never been. (say it with me. Ha-wa-ii)

I'm sure I'll think of more, this is just off the top of my brain.
Hope everyone has a great year!
